This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information we receive from users of the Site. We use your Personal Information only for providing and improving the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Member Resources and Features – To gain access to members-only resources and features on the Site, members are asked to register and provide some limited Personal Information. This information is submitted voluntarily. Similar information may be submitted to FMA through membership applications, event registrations, and contest submission forms.
Comments – When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Contact Forms – We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g., to ship an order.
Who we share your data with
FMA will not sell or rent any of your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent. However, if you become a member of FMA, some information about our members and key employees, such as names, telephone numbers, e-mail and business addresses and related information is posted on this site and may be disclosed to other organizations.
In addition, your data passes through a few third-party systems, which are included below:
Email – For mass mailing of promotional and important information emails, we use the GDPR-compliant Campaign Monitor. You can find more information on Campaign Monitor and the data protection provided by Campaign Monitor at http://www.campaignmonitor.com/policies.

This information is used solely for our internal business purposes, including to improve the functionality of our site, diagnose errors, generate statistical reports, analyze trends, understand and improve user experience, and identify aggregate user preferences.
How long we retain your data
The Personal Information that you provide will be stored and maintained by FMA until you instruct us otherwise, or, in FMA’s sole discretion, for so long as is necessary or appropriate to carry out the purpose(s) for which such information was collected, and for so long as we are required to maintain such information by law.
For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
How we protect your data
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for “https” at the beginning of the address of the web page.
